What You Will Achieve

This position manages materials and components, ensuring that the materials are purchased, received, and released on time to support the site’s manufacturing schedule. Primary responsibilities include managing purchase orders from creation to delivery, escalating any material supply issues, performing inventory analysis, and resolving invoice issues. The position manages the procurement through enrollment process of production materials and components that are used in manufacturing, clinical, or new products. They will coordinate purchasing activities for the implementation of new products/processes and associated purchased material requirements.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Manages purchasing of materials to ensure materials are available in sufficient quantities to support the manufacturing schedule.
  • Identifies and escalates material supply or release risks that may impact the manufacturing schedule.
  • Perform inventory/supply analysis in support of production scenario analysis.
  • Collaborate with procurement to perform sourcing analysis.
  • Track procurement and enrollment of material to meet manufacturing or program requirements.
  • Prepare necessary reports
  • Maintain SAP master data accuracy in collaboration with the SAP team.
  • Works with Finance and suppliers to resolve invoice issues
  • Contribute to the completion of projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate with BOM owners to prepare draft BOMs and work with site supply management in preparation for material enrollment.
  • Any other business-related tasks

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience OR an associate’s degree with 6 years of experience OR a bachelors with at least 3 years of experience OR Masters with more than 1 year of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain planning, purchasing, scheduling, procurement with experience in materials planning.
  • Experience with ERP/SAP systems and forecasting of pharmaceutical materials
  • Effective written and communication skills

Nice-to-Have

  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience.
  • Knowledge of planning, inventory management, reporting and other supply chain/logistics

  

Physical/Mental Requirements

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Position requirements are typical for an office-based work environment with some shop floor exposure.  There are no unusual physical requirements.

Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel, or Environment Requirements

  • This role is standard day Monday through Friday work shift; some off-shift support needed when issues arise.
  • Travel time may be subject to business needs

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $78,000.00 to $130,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
