SourceAbled is seeking candidates for a Direct Hire role as a Sr. Business Engagement Partner with our client Pfizer, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. Seeking candidates in Sanford NC/Tampa FL or willing to relocate.

What You Will Achieve

 Working with a global team of procurement experts, you will play an important role in negotiating commercial arrangements with certain suppliers for direct material supply. You will create sourcing strategies at the local level, and facilitate global category strategy management and execution in partnership with your global procurement peers. You will manage supplier performance to support ongoing operations, collaborate closely with cross functional teams to understand business needs,  and enhance the value suppliers deliver for Pfizer.
 

As a Senior Associate, your focus will be executing project responsibilities that drive cost savings and operational efficiencies, collecting and acting on internal customer needs from our suppliers and the Pfizer procurement organization, managing supplier performance, and delivering team goals. You will also support the assessment and simplification of how the teams work is done. Through your knowledge and commitment, you will contribute to a collaborative team environment for your colleagues.

How You Will Achieve It:
 

Local Stakeholder Management Support

  • Act as relationship manager for assigned key site stakeholders and global suppliers.
  • Proactively engage with key internal/external stakeholder at the local plant/market level to problem solve, understand business needs, and develop solutions that drive cross functional performance and efficiencies.
  • Support global sourcing strategy development and execution that align with company objectives based on business requirements received from internal stakeholders, including business leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead, contribute, and engage in discussions regarding core processes needed to coordinate across local teams and stakeholders.
  • Organize own work to meet deliverables to project task deadlines.
  • Track and own the communication of regular project/task updates and cost savings achieved to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Support procurement team budgeting process and execute budget and forecasting activities to the financial organization, reporting spend and purchase price variance outcomes via detailed driver explanations and value generated through procurement projects.
  • Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
     

Operational Excellence

  • Support process improvement initiatives to achieve cost savings, increased productivity, and enhanced supplier performance.
  • Analyze spend data (local and/or global) to identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Support regular global SRM reporting by collecting voice of customer insights and data from various local functions.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to procurement activities, including savings and operational excellence projects and supplier contracts with commitments to improving OE.
  • Analyze business needs and identify ways of improving the procurement processes, tools, policies and procedures, to drive efficiency and proactive engagement.
  • Work with manufacturing team to assure delivery requirements are met.
     

Supplier Performance Management

  • Lead regular supplier performance management discussions with key suppliers. Build content and topics for review, integrate feedback from stakeholders, and ensure focus on operational and quality improvement outcomes.
  • Track supplier performance and SLAs to ensure adherence to contractual agreements, quality standards, and delivering on performance improvement commitments.
     

Sourcing

  • Regularly conduct market research to identify potential local and diverse suppliers and develop a supplier database to streamline procurement process. Negotiate favorable pricing to protect site P&L; Interface with Pfizer Global Procurement groups to assure alignment with pre-established strategies.
  • Ensure sustained execution of global category strategies at the site level.
  • Perform any bidding activities using global procurement system applications and sourcing tools.
  • Implement and monitor the procurement processes to ensure compliance with national regulations, corporate policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (also cGMP), Environment, Health & Safety (Local applications) guidelines.
  • Ability to audit spend system data to understand purchase price variance drivers, and enforce contract/pricing adherence as needed
     

Other Must Have Job Skills

  • Strong capability in IT skills, particularly in Excel, Microsoft Teams, and presentation packages
  • Good project management and facilitation skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated client engagement and customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize diverse workload, adapt to changing priorities and assignments
  • Demonstrated achievement of results, including savings generation, improvements to supplier relationships, product quality and service delivery

REQUIRED BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management preferred, or any business-related discipline
  • 3+ years of work experience (1+ yrs for MBA/MS), ideally in sourcing & procurement within a large multi-national company
  • Must have experience in procurement, and demonstrate familiarity with systems, processes and procedures
  • Must demonstrate experience and understanding of budget and forecast development
  • Cross-site, cross-functional project skills and experience
     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA
  • Experience working in pharma manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of SAP

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $78,000.00 to $130,000.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary. * The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $70,200.00 to $117,000.00.
