What You Will Achieve

Working with Pfizer’s dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical part in managing the maintenance and reliability engineering activities involving the redesign, maintenance, and repair of utilities systems, buildings, and production/non-production equipment.

You are recognized as a subject matter expert with specialized knowledge and skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and equipment. You will be entrusted with adapting standard methods and procedures by applying your knowledge, prior work experience and requirements. Your business awareness of cross-organizational impact on project delivery will elevate the quality of project deliverables. You will arrive at decisions on which methods and procedures are the best fit for different work situations.

You will train others and reinforce behaviors that will help us achieve our goal of providing the best healthcare to our patients.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Manage own time and professional development, be accountable for own results.

  • Prioritize own workflow and may lead and allocate work of others and assist in establishing their priorities.

  • Provide support to the site manufacturing teams in identifying, resolving and proactively maintaining a high level of automation process control and support for the site manufacturing activities.

  • Review major project estimates for design, equipment, installation and other related costs.

  • Prepare project forecasts, schedules and tracks costs.

  • Support delivery of Automation related capital projects on time and within budget.

  • Identify/Implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness within projects and the project lifecycle.

  • Ensure adherence to all quality standards in capital projects and be fully compliant with Project Lifecycle.

  • Perform calibrations on process and analytical instrumentation.

  • Document all work order activities in relevant equipment logs.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve calibration/instrumentation issues in a timely manner utilizing DMAIC techniques.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Grade J: Minimum of AAS degree in electrical, electronics, instrumentation, industrial technology or related field of study with at least 6 years of experience working with equipment maintenance in a cGMP environment, or equivalent. A HS diploma with 12 years of relevant experience is also acceptable.

  • Knowledge of industry practices and standards

  • Knowledge of basic mathematics

  • Well-developed time management and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills and strong work ethic

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • Bachelors Degree.

  • Strong evidence of problem-solving skills.

  • Strong knowledge in Automation: preferred Siemens, Foxboro (Schneider),iFix,Wonderware, PCE (serialization), network, Virtualization (VMWare)

  

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Position requirements are typical for a manufacturing plant-based work environment with significant shop floor exposureRoutine lifting, sitting, climbing, standing, walking and bending is required. Specific PPE requirements, including clean room gowning, arc flash gowning and fall protection and vessel entries are frequently required. There are no unusual mental requirements for this position. 


NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Schedule is a mixture of day shift (M-F, 8 hrs) and rotating 12-hour shifts that may include night, weekend and holiday work. Alternative work schedules may be required to support specific project-related activities. On call duties may also be required. 


Work Location Assignment: On Premise

The salary for this position ranges from $30.02 to $50.03 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company’s policies.
